commissions and more!

Hello, everyone!

Life has been stressful over the last year, but instead of going into details I would rather offer a link to another blog which explains a lot more of my personal life here, and keep this site business professional.

In the past month I have covered a lot of groundwork! I have been grateful to have a little time off from a full-time work schedule and I've been filling my time with building my art business. Recent improvements and updates include the following sites...

My Etsy shop will be finished at the end of September, and by then I plan to have a lot more of my personal work up. I have been drenched in portrait commissions, which I love. I find them much more difficult and less rewarding since prints aren't able to be sold, yet nothing beats delivering a unique and personal piece to a client and how happy it makes them.

Here's some photos of recent work.

I'm more of a realistic artist, but working with simplicity is fun!

A portrait of my beautiful friend Wen-Di, before completion.

I have been dabbling into fonts and typography. A little sneak peak at what is in store for my Etsy!

A commission in progress for a beautiful client and her best friend, about 4 hours in.
I love working with charcoal. It can be extremely frustrating and messy, messy, messy--but it can also be one of the most rewarding mediums out there! Most people prefer the look of classic black and white over a drawing done with color (colored pencil, pastels, paint, etc).

Stay tuned, exciting things are ahead!
